Communicative Experiences
Like productive and creative
experiences, opportunities to meet others, talk with them, and
share their personal stories and opinions, are always viewed
as valuable and interesting. Because these experiences involve
two or more people, they also inherently involve high levels
of control, feedback, and adaptivity. The telephone is an excellent
example of a communicative experience, as are chat lines, discussion
boards, and cocktail parties. Some of these are so valuable and
enjoyable for some people, that they have become virtually indispensable.
